A multifaceted facility in Okinawa City that opened in 1970 as a commemorative project for Okinawa’s reversion to Japanese administration. It includes a zoo that houses about 150 species of animals and where visitors can encounter wildlife endemic to the Ryukyu Islands and native domestic livestock, and it also features a hands-on science facility called the Wonder Museum.
