About
Muskox. A large bovine native to the tundra of Canada and Greenland, adapted to extreme cold by long guard hairs and a dense underwool. Both males and females have horns, and during the breeding season males may form harems. Primarily a grazer feeding on grasses and mosses, they display group behaviors to protect their young. Affected by climate change, disease, and past overhunting, they are currently assessed as Least Concern.
